Joel Dommett is set to host a 'Survivor' reboot.
The extreme reality series is making its long-awaited return to TV screens in the UK, and Joel has been confirmed as the show's new host.
The 37-year-old comedian - who also hosts the UK version of 'The Masked Singer' - said: "I’m the new host of the UK‘s 'Survivor'! I can't believe it! A huge thank you to the BBC for trusting me with this.
"It’s such a hugely popular format all over the world and I’m super excited to help bring it to our sweet little country.
"Let the tribal councils begin!"
The show will see 20 castaways sent to a remote location where they will be forced to use innovative strategies in order to avoid elimination.
They will all have to find food and seek shelter, and the contestant who impresses the least will be banished from the show at the so-called tribal council.
On the other hand, the contestant who impresses the most will walk away from the programme with £100,000.
Meanwhile, Joel previously attributed his TV success to his "nice" personality.
The comedian - who appeared on 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' in 2016 - explained: "I’m not under any illusions.
"I genuinely got so many jobs over my lifetime because I’m nice. Definitely in comedy, but also in presenting too.
"There’s always going to be people that are funnier than me.
"So when they do have that choice, it’s a case of, ‘We could get this really funny person. Joel is slightly less funny but nice to spend time with in a green room, so let’s get Joel.’
"That’s how I’ve got lots of my jobs!"
