Joel Dommett has backed Declan Donnelly to present the next series of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' on his own.
The 42-year-old star's presenting partner Ant McPartlin has taken the rest of the year off - which comes after he was fined £86,000 for drink-driving earlier this year - and while comedian Joel has offered his support, he has ruled out stepping up from the 'Extra Camp' spin-off to the main programme.
He told The Sun's Bizarre TV column: "I'm sure he'll be fine on his own. He's amazing, they both are. It's an amazing team.
"I don't think they'd trust me with such very big shoes to fill. Genuinely I would never be able to do it. I don't know whether I would really."
However, he did suggest that 'Saturday Night Takeaway' star Scarlett Moffatt could step up and help Dec out if necessary.
He added: "I could never imagine the amount of pressure you'd have when you're in that role.
"Scarlett is the best, she's the nicest, most wonderful human being. Very funny. Very quick, professional, nice, I love her."
Ant, 42, has decided to stay away from work for the rest of 2018, ruling him out of the jungle in November.
He and Dec have also decided to rest 'Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway', which was due to air again in spring 2019.
Ant - who has recently spent time in a rehabilitation facility - said in a statement: "My recovery is going very well and for that to continue having spoken to Dec and ITV, I have made the decision to take the rest of the year off.
"I'd like to thank both Dec and ITV for their continued support and I look forward to getting back to work in the new year."
Dec added: "Whilst I am obviously sad at the thought of being without my best friend in Australia this year, I am proud of the work Ant has been doing privately and I am fully supportive of his decision.
"I'm looking forward to us both being reunited on screen in 2019."
