Joe-Warren Plant has been left "unbelievably frustrated" after he had to cancel a 'Dancing on Ice' training session due to an ongoing knee injury.
The 'Emmerdale' actor has been practicing alongside his pro partner Vanessa Bauer ahead of the new series of the ice skating show next year, but he was "absolutely gutted" yesterday (03.11.20) when the pair had to come off the ice.
He wrote on Instagram: "Absolutely gutted..... So we had to cancel today’s training session due to my ongoing knee injury!
"It’s unbelievably frustrating as I really felt like it had healed! (sic)"
The 18-year-old star - who plays Jacob Gallagher on the ITV soap - wanted to carry on, but admitted he needs to "take it easy" with the injury.
He wrote: "I’m not one to give up when I feel a little bit of pain and I was willing to carry on but it’s important for me to take a step back, not get too carried away with it and take it easy.
Kneed to get this under control... (sic)"
The Dales actor was confirmed for 'Dancing on Ice' in September, and revealed at the time he had been granted six months off from 'Emmerdale'.
He said: "I'm super excited, I can't even describe it.
"I'm glad I've got the time off 'Emmerdale' to really focus on training, and to try my best.
"It's a new challenge. I've never done anything like it before."
But the star's ice skating boots took a bit longer mould to his feet, because he accidentally got his shoe size wrong initially.
Speaking at the time, he said: "I've been trying to get them moulded to my feet so they don't hurt and rub when I'm training.
"But we actually had a problem with them.
"They were asking about my shoe size and me being an idiot, I told them the wrong shoe size.
"So I went to try the skates on and they were just way too big for me. I needed a size down.
"I got them sent to me the other day and since then I've been trying to wear them in a bit."
