The happy-go-lucky presenter - who has co-hosted the spin-off show for seven years - is made to cover up his bits when he appears on camera for the jungle panel show because ITV kept getting complaints about his "builders' bum" on screen.
Speaking on 'Loose Women' on Monday (01.08.16), he said: "I used to always got out to do 'I'm A Celebrity...', the spin-off show, with no pants, until ITV sort of put it in my contract because they were getting so many complaints because I've got no hips either so it was builders' bum on show the whole time. One year they had to buy me loads of pants."
And, although he's now learnt his lesson, the 34-year-old actor still has to promise bosses he'll pack his pants before he's allowed to jet Down Under to present the panel show.
He explained: "Every year they phone up my agent and are like 'Does Joe want to go back to Australia?', 'Yeah, yeah, that'll be lovely', 'Make sure he packs his pants!' "
Meanwhile, the former 'EastEnders' star - who is dating Stacey Solomon - has admitted he's going through a "mid-life crisis" and recently decided to replace boxers with Y-Fronts.
He said: "I'm having a mid-life crisis where I've gone from boxer shorts to Y-fronts."
