Jodie Whittaker would be "very happy" to return to 'Doctor Who'.
The 41-year-old actress finished her stint on the BBC sci-fi show earlier this year, with 'Sex Education' star Ncuti Gatwa ready to take her place next year.
But despite her time as the Doctor coming to a close, Jodie admitted she would be "very happy" to pick up the Sonic Screwdriver once again.
She told Metro newspaper's SixtySeconds column: "I mean there's just no debate. For me, it's my absolute happiness.
"It was the most incredible time, it's the most incredible role. Thankfully you were always treated as the Doctor whether you were the current one or not, so I would be very happy to put on my Doctor's coat again."
The TV star also gushed about the 60th Anniversary Special of the show, which will see David Tennant and Catherine Tate return to face off against Neil Patrick Harris' dreaded Toymaker tomorrow evening on BBC One.
She said: "I can’t wait, and also it’s the first time for me being a Whovian.
"I didn't grow up in a Whovian house and we didn’t watch it, so it’s the first time now for me that I am full-on fan with no stress attached."
After leaving the T.A.R.D.I.S, Jodie signed for the ITV drama 'One Night', where she will star alongside Bella Ramsey in a harrowing story about surviving sexual assault.
The 'St Trinian's' actress said the "poetic" writing of the show allowed her to become completely engrossed in the story.
She explained: "I've read or seen a lot of drams that have that [sexual assault] within its storyline. What made this completely engrossing was the change of point of view.
"Very often it's told from the outside in – there's an investigation, there are detectives … but this is about how the event is defining for a group of women that it affects, and how we all survive something like that and who has the right to tell stories, especially if that story is true.
"I think Emily Ballou's writing is so poetic and beautiful."
