Jodie Kidd feared she would die during two hours of "absolute pandemonium" while rowing on reality show 'Don't Rock the Boat'.
The 42-year-old model was expecting to meet her maker during part of the show when she and her co-stars attempted to travel through Scotland's Inner Hebrides, only to be met with "washing machine"-like conditions which ripped the oars out of the contestants' hands.
She said: "That was the moment I thought we were going to capsize and die. It was like a washing machine. I didn’t know where the waves were coming from.
"We had our oars ripped out of our hands. It was absolute pandemonium for about two hours."
The programme will see 12 celebrities - split into two teams of six - battle it out to complete 500, gruelling miles, from Cornwall to northern Scotland, and they also take part in on-shore challenges to try to gain vital advantages.
Jodie admitted the incident was "very, very scary" and she and her fellow rowers weren't able to depart their vessels because the conditions were so bad.
She is quoted by The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column as saying: "My hands were bleeding and in bits. Literally, I felt like I was rowing for my life.
"When we finished, all of us just burst out crying. It was so traumatic."
The programme is co-hosted by Freddie Flintoff and AJ Odudu, and will also feature former 'Coronation Street' star Craig Charles, singer/songwriter Fleur East, 'Love Island' winner Jack Fincham, Olympic champion Victoria Pendleton, The Chase's Shaun Wallace, and ex-'Emmerdale' actor Adam Thomas.
Former 'Corrie' actress Lucy Fallon also took part in the show, and she previously admitted to being "grateful for every second" of the show.
She wrote on Instagram: "The next adventure with these beautiful human beings. Grateful for every second of it. coming 2 your screens, ITV, later this year. Hold tight every1 in the building (sic)"
