Joanne Froggatt had to get an x-ray after she punched a wall on the set of 'Liar'.
The 38-year-old actress plays Laura Neilson in the psychological thriller, which concluded its first series in October 2017 and was ITV's highest rated new drama with 9.1 million viewers tuning into the final episode.
And now, Joanne has revealed that she had to take an hour long trip to her local A&E department after she punched her fist through a wall whilst filming the much-anticipated second season of the drama, and the star explained she feels "extremely lucky" to have the NHS.
She told The Times' 2 Arts: "I was in and out in an hour. It's not perfect - what system is? - but the people who work for the NHS are so dedicated. We're extremely lucky to have it."
Froggatt and co-star Andrew Earlham (Ioan Gruffudd) will both reprise their roles in the upcoming second series, which is set to explore who killed Andrew in the form of flashback sequences.
Meanwhile, the 'Downton Abbey' star also recalled when she suffered a near-fatal experience in a car crash aged 16, and admitted that her life "flashed" before her eyes "just like" people say.
She added: "If the car had rolled a little more, they said I would have been killed. I still have a little scar on my face.
"It was a weird experience as my life literally flashed before my eyes - just like they say. Time slowed down, and it felt like every moment of my life happened to me in one split second. Everything was very calm, and I thought, if this is it, I'm OK about it."
