Joanne Froggatt broke her own self-imposed social media ban to read comments about 'Liar'.
The 39-year-old actress appeared on screens last month as Laura Nielson in second series of the ITV thriller, and she took to social media to read comments about the series, but admitted she usually doesn't have a look at what people are saying about her shows.
She said: "Even though I've not been out I've been in everyone's homes or millions of people's homes.
"'Liar' has been on recently and I've always enjoyed looking at people's' reactions to the show. It's very sensitive subject matter, it really threw up a lot of questions.
"I don't look at social media when programmes that I'm in are airing but with 'Liar' I do.
"And it's great reading comments from people saying they've really enjoyed the show. It's kept them on the edge of their seats. That it was the highlight of their week."
What's more, the 'Downton Abbey' star has instructed herself not to reply to negative comments on social media, but there have been one or two occasions where she has found a nasty comment funny.
Speaking on the 'At Home With The Lallas' podcast, she added: "I reply very occasionally [to comments]. I often like things so people know I've read it and responded.
"I have a rule - I don't reply to anything negative. I occasionally get the odd negative comment that has really made me laugh out loud.
"There was this one time when 'Downton' was on and the press department had asked me to do a live tweet during one of the episodes.
"I was getting all these comments saying, 'We love Anna. We love you' and then all of a sudden one person just put, 'F**k You' and I thought, 'Fair play!' "
