Jimmy Carr has written a self-help book after fearing he would one day be "too old" to offer advice to his son.
The 49-year-old comedian became a parent when he and partner Karoline Copping welcomed a baby boy in 2019, and he decided to put all this thoughts into a tome for his lad to read in the future.
He said: “I've got a kid now. I’m going to be an old dad, so by the time I get to the stage of giving him life advice, I’ll have forgotten it all. I thought, 'I’ll stick it in a book and he can have that.' ”
The '8 out of 10 Cats' host went on to describe his new book 'Before & Laughter', even making a tongue-in-cheek nod to activist Greta Thunberg, 18.
He told Radio 2: "It’s a letter to me in my mid-20s as well, I had a big change, I used to work for an oil company ... if Greta Thunberg’s listening, I’m so sorry. If I took half of this advice half the time I’d be a superstar.”
News of the star's self-help book comes after a long period of speculation about Jimmy becoming a dad.
'I Can See Your Voice' star finally confirmed he was a father earlier this year, when he broke the news on stage in comedic style, during a stand-up show.
He said: “I had to tell my little boy he’s adopted.
"I mean, he isn’t, but the look on his face. I said, ‘No, no, no, you were adopted, the new family is picking you up tomorrow’.”
