The fictional stars of the iconic children show 'Fraggle Rock' - which followed a group of puppets made by 'The Muppets' creator Jim Henson - beat off competition from other popular kids programmes including 'Sooty & Friends' and 'The Thunderbirds' to be named the characters viewers would most love to see back on screen.
A survey by ice cream maker Wall's also found the public are keen to see characters from British TV series 'Camberwick Green' - which originally aired on the BBC in 1966 - return to the small screen as the show was fourth on the list.
The programme narrowly beat off competition from 'Roland Rat', which starred a fictional rat who lived in a Ratcave underneath Kings Cross railway station in London.
The survey was in conjunction with Wall's , who teamed up with UK-based charity Save the Children for their own 'Share a Smile, Help a Child' campaign which sees retro ice cream, Funny Feet, go back on sale.
