Jessie J says the treatment of children on 'Britain's Got Talent' should be illegal.
The star - who is a judge on rival talent show 'The Voice' - has blasted the TV competition for featuring young hopefuls "purely for ridicule".
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: "I cannot agree with kids having to go through three or four auditions when it's purely for ridicule. I don't understand why it's legal, I think it's wrong.
"I watched 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions and there are these kids getting laughed at by the audience. I'm like: 'Woah, why?'
"I get uncomfortable seeing young kids on stage because I know what it's like."
The 'Domino' hitmaker's comments come after 'Strictly Come Dancing' host and veteran entertainer Sir Bruce Forsyth called for separate version of 'Britain's Got Talent' aimed at children.
Jessie, 25, added she thinks the audience are starting to agree the show's treatment of its younger stars is "wrong".
She explained: "However much greatness there is in this world there are also a lot of mean people behind computers. They need to be children. I think the public, thank God, have finally realised it's wrong."
