The former 'EastEnders' star - who previously played Chantelle Atkins on the BBC One soap - has a penchant for a moist piece of soft woven fabric, and she has been munching on the cleaning devices since she was a youngster.

She said: "One thing that nobody knows about me is I've got really weird eating habits.

"I like to chew on a wet flannel. Is that really gross?

"There's something about ... I don't know what it is, I've just done it since I was a kid. It's quite nice."

Jessica starred as Chantelle from March 2019 until the character was killed by her evil husband Gray Atkins (Chantelle Atkins) last September, but the 28-year-old actress was left "heartbroken" when she first filmed scenes in the Queen Vic and realised the set was made from cardboard.

She said: "One thing that a lot of people don’t know about the behind the scenes of a soap is that the set is not real.

"I was heartbroken when I went into the Queen Vic and realised the walls were literally cardboard."

Since Chantelle met her maker in Walford, Jessica has set her sights on landing other TV roles, and she would love to star alongside her "girl crush" Jodie Comer.

Speaking to OK! magazine, she added: "If I could work with any celebrity on a TV show it would have to be my ultimate girl crush - Jodie Comer."

Jessica recently admitted she is on the lookout for TV and film roles which will push her "out of [her] comfort zone".

She added: "My dream is to look at more TV and film roles, saying yes to things and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone like I did with 'I’m A Celeb'."
