Jennifer Metcalfe is "made up" she got to film her first scenes back at 'Hollyoaks' in Spain.

The 35-year-old actress will return to screens this summer as mouthy Mercedes McQueen after she took a year off to have her baby son Daye but she has teased that her alter ego's big comeback will be better than ever as the fictional family tear up Magaluf in "style."
Speaking in an interview filmed for Instagram's new IGTV video platform, Jennifer - who is currently in Spain filming her scenes - said: "It's never felt so good to be back. I have my little breaks but after I've been away for a year - and to come back to this and film my first scenes out here in Spain - I'm just made up."
The brunette beauty thinks fans will be surprised by Mercedes changed attitude but she's joked it won't last long as her bad girl ways will start to creep back in fairly soon after.
She explained: "The McQueens are wrecking Magaluf - true McQueen style! I think Mercedes wants to try and convince everyone that she's changed - she eats granola - and got new morals and that she's just more cooler and a better person but no, that don't last long. So Mercedes is back this summer!"
Mercedes - also known as Mercy - was last seen fleeing the village last year in order to track down her estranged son Bobby in the US to stop him from being adopted.
But Jennifer recently admitted that she's got no idea whether Bobby will be joining her when she returns because she missed a meeting with the show producers.
Asked about her return details, she said: "I'd love to [share them] but I haven't got a clue.
"The last time I was in Liverpool, I was supposed to see our producer but I didn't make it, so I've not the foggiest. I don't know if there are new characters as I haven't watched it for months. I watched Anna Passey's scenes, but I haven't watched telly at all."
