The 44-year-old presenter - whose ex-partner, Jade Goody, rose to fame on the reality TV show - has revealed that he wasn't impressed with the rebooted programme.

Jeff told Metro.co.uk: "I switched on for two minutes after watching 'Celeb SAS', which we never miss. That’s our favourite. And there’s some contention, they didn’t know they was putting someone up for public vote and it caused great contention between the two individuals.

"It caused great discomfort for the girl that had to vent in the diary room and it’s not the sort of thing I want to watch. I don’t enjoy seeing drama like that."

The TV star admitted that the reboot "might not be for [him]".

Jeff said: "For some people it might be what they want to view in an evening. I want good energy rather than see someone go through emotional distress.

"They’ll have a lot of fun in there and I’m sure they’re relationship will improve, but as a snapshot, it might not be for me."

Jade Goody, Jeff's ex-partner, shot to stardom on 'Big Brother' back in 2002.

Jade died of cancer in March 2009, aged 27, and Jeff admits that it transformed his approach to life.

Jeff - who had sons Bobby and Freddie with the reality star - previously said: "I've morphed into something quite different from your average dad. I'm probably far more sensitive to their feelings and I'm far more aware of when they need emotional support.

"There are little side effects of my situation where you become really good at doing quite a lot on your own.

"I've got an ability to push myself beyond tiredness because if I don't do it, it doesn't get done."
