Jeff Brazier reveals why he 'would be uncomfortable' taking part in next Strictly series

The ‘This Morning’ presenter wouldn’t want to venture into the “world” of his 21-year-old son Bobby Brazier - who is currently starring on ‘EastEnders’ as Freddie - and he would prefer to let his boy have it as “his thing”, after he reached the final last year.

Bobby was partnered with professional dancer Dianne Buswell, 35, on the BBC Latin and ballroom competition, which is hosted by Tess Daly, 55, and Claudia Winkleman, 52 and features a judging panel of Shirley Ballas, 63, Anton Du Beke, 57, Motsi Mabuse, 43, and Craig Revel-Horwood, 59.

The 45-year-old television presenter told Closer magazine: “I would be uncomfortable doing the next series, because I feel like that was Bobby’s world. I want to leave that as his thing.”

Jeff - who also has 19-year-old son Freddie, who he shares with his late partner, 'Big Brother' icon Jade Goody, who passed away in 2009 aged 27 - believes he has become “a better person” over the years.

He said: "I have become a better person the more vulnerable I’ve become.

"In the early years of bringing up the children, I would just use the shield of positivity, and it only got me so far. If I can allow myself to ask for support, then suddenly life gets a little easier.”

Jeff heaped praise on his wife Kate Dwyer, 34, for working “incredibly hard” as a public relations executive.

He said: “My wife is the director of a PR company, so she works incredibly hard. I’m so proud of her.

“Bobby’s got such an amazing opportunity to pursue his passions, and that’s very much acting.

"My youngest Freddie is working on something slightly more manual and physical. There’s never any pressure from me - I don’t care what either of my boys do, as long as they’re nice people.”
