Jason Manford's eight-year-old son has been bitten by a horse.
The 39-year-old actor was out on a family bike ride when his boy was set upon by an equine "with mad eyes", who bit the youngster on the chest.
He said: "The horses always come over when we stop - they always say hello.
"There was a new horse and he had mad eyes! I should have spotted that, looking back.
"It was a mad 60 seconds. I had my little boy, the two-year-old, on the seat of my bike, this horse out of nowhere lurches forward and bites my other son on the chest."
The 'Death in Paradise' star - who rarely speaks about his kids - admitted his son was "fine" and he even chanced a horse-related joke with him, but the youngster didn't get it.
Speaking on his Absolute Radio show, he added: "I asked him, 'Why the long face?' later but he didn't get it, which is a shame."
Jason recently insisted the coronavirus pandemic has made some people in the TV industry realise they're "not as important as they thought they were".
The comedian exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "The whole industry's adapted to that - you know, in a good way! In a way the Covid stuff doesn't make a massive difference to filming because generally you are socially distanced.
"No one's ever here [in your face]. That's certainly less people on set - which I'm all for.
"There's certain people who suddenly realised they're not as important as they thought they were. [laughs]."
