Jason Manford's 'What Would Your Kids Do?' has been axed.
The family-friendly quiz - which landed on screens in 2018 - challenged mums and dads to find out how well they know their children by guessing how they would react in the classroom but now it has been cut from the channel as ITV bosses wanted to "freshen up" their programming.
A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "The shows did OK in the ratings but ITV wants to freshen up its schedule a bit so is cutting some of the dead wood. There are no plans to bring back the show in the future, so it's goodbye for now."
The 38-year-old comedian - who hosts the teatime show - is yet to comment on the news but this show's cancellation comes just days after it was announced fellow ITV show 'Take Me Out' has been axed after 11 years.
A TV source added: "ITV and Paddy [McGuinness] have done all the specials you can eke out of a dating show, so it's been decided it's time for it to go. As with many shows, ratings have slid a bit in recent years. But it will go down as a big success."
Paddy later thanked ITV for taking "a punt" on him and the show in a video shared online.
He said: "Hello friends, well after 11 series it's time to say goodbye to 'Take Me Out'. Eight weddings, six babies, and a generation of youngsters who have grown up watching us on Saturday night TV. Over 10 years ago ITV took a punt on myself and the show, and for that I'll be eternally grateful. Ten years, that was before Tinder and Snapchat, Twitter was a little baby, Instagram, wasn't a thing, and WhatsApp was just witchcraft. What I'm most proud of is the success of 'Take Me Out', it put dating shows back on the TV map. Thank you to all the boys who braved the Love Lift, and most importantly to the stars of the show - the girls. I'm going to miss spending my Saturday nights with you. For one last time it's lights out, all out."
