Jason Manford has admitted he didn't work hard enough on his first marriage.
The 40-year-old comedian doesn't think he put enough "care and time" into his relationship with Catherine - with whom he has four children - before their breakup eight years ago.
Speaking on his and Judi Love's 'Feel Good Tool Kit' podcast, he said: "My first marriage really disintegrated on my theory of, 'I don't want my children to have the childhood I had'.
"So I was out working all the time and I didn't put the care and time into that relationship that it deserved.
"It's only now I'm starting to realise, 'Oh, I'm not giving the children the childhood I had', which is good in one thing but bad in another. Because I got to spend so much time and we had laughs with my parents."
Jason - who married Lucy Dyke, with whom he has two kids, in 2017 - explained while he would like to give meditation a go, he doesn't want to have bad toughts about his breakup and own childhood.
He added: "Everything I've read about it appeals to me. But for some reason there's a resistance.
"There's things in my life - whether it's divorce, childhood, falling out with people - that I feel like if I have a moment to sit and think, these horrible memories, or thoughts, or feeling of guilt, will creep up and make me feel sad.
"So that's why I go, 'Keep busy, Jase.' "
Meanwhile, the former 'One Show' host has previously opened up about his childhood and admitted times were tough.
He said: "The bailiffs called all the time. I remember coming home and the sofa had gone, another time the telly had gone and another when my mums s***** little yellow Triumph Dolomite was gone.
"It felt like my parents worked constantly. And yet they still had a loan shark who came every week."
