Janette Manrara is to host a special arena tour to celebrate Disney’s music and storytelling in its milestone 100th anniversary year.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro dancer will help to mark the company's centenary by presenting Disney100: The Concert, a UK tour featuring beloved songs from classic movies such as ‘The Lion King’, ‘Aladdin’, ‘Frozen, ‘Beauty and The Beast’ and many more.
The 39-year-old television personality said: “It’s no secret I’m a big Disney fan, so to be able to celebrate all the beautiful music of the last 100 years that Disney’s storytelling has brought us, is an absolute joy!”
Janette will be leading proceedings on the nationwide tour - which includes stops in cities such as Leeds and Cardiff - when it kicks off in Glasgow on May 31st, and tickets are available now at DisneyTickets.com.
Performers announced for the show so far include Bessy Ewa, Charlie Burn, Cleve September, Anton Zetterholm, Roberta Valentini, Georgina Hagen, Richard-Salvador Wolff, Tobias Joch and Masengu Kanyinda.
Since its founding in 1923, The Walt Disney Company’s storytelling has been set to the backdrop of mesmerising, award-winning melodies and songs.
Since 2016, the successful musical series Disney in Concert has been enchanting fans worldwide with legendary soundtracks.
In February, Janette teamed up with Disney to crown the UK's biggest Disney fan.
She said at the time: "I’ve been to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida 43 times, the first time when I was aged one, and I even managed to get my husband on board by putting an annual Disney Parks visit in our wedding vows before we honeymooned in Disneyland Paris.
"I chose Disney as my specialist subject on Mastermind so you could say, I’m more than qualified to help guide the fans on their magical journey."
