Jane Danson is "thrilled" to have Ben Price back on 'Coronation Street'.
The 39-year-old actress - who plays Leanne Battersby in the long-running soap - is thrilled that the 46-year-old actor is reprising his role as her on/off love interest Nick Tilsley later this year because he's such a "well-loved character."
Speaking on 'Loose Women' on Thursday (04.10.18), she said: "It's just fantastic news because he's such a well-loved character and Ben is so loved amongst the cast so we're all thrilled to have him back - especially me!"
It's not yet known whether Ben's comeback storyline will involve Jane's alter-ego Leanne but she has admitted that early next year her character won't be seen on screens as much because she's just signed up to 'Dancing on Ice'.
She explained: "Well, she's not going too far. I will still be there but not as much as I usually am because obviously it's a huge commitment. I'm going to have a quieter patch within the story but not at the moment because we've just filmed a really busy stuff that comes on next week. It's a big week next week for Leanne but after that, because of the way it's going Leanne can take a bit of time away."
Leanne seems to be going through a bit of a man-eater patch at the moment as she's just ended her affair with Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) after she found out that he was also bedding her sister Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor).
And, last week, the blonde beauty ended up in bed with Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) after the cab driver's fiancee Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) gave him a "free pass" - which he thought meant he could cheat - ahead of their big day.
That's not the first time Leanne and Steve have got down and dirty together as they pulled a similar stunt two years ago when the bumbling idiot was married to Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) - resulting in Leanne falling pregnant.
