Jane Danson has hit out at a "pathetic" person for creating a fake Facebook profile of her.
The 'Coronation Street' actress - who has played Leanne Battersby on the ITV soap since 1997 - has blasted the mystery troll for pretending to be her on the social media site, and has warned them they are committing a "criminal offence".
She wrote on Twitter: "Some saddo pretending to be me again! STOP IT - its pathetic. Also its fraud, a criminal offence. (sic)"
Jane has also asked the person who set up the account to take it down before they get "into trouble".
She tweeted: "Do yourself a favour and remove before you get into trouble. (sic)"
The account was brought to Jane's attention by a fan who took to Twitter to warn her.
They wrote: "watch out Jane fakes going around on facebook (sic)".
Jane replied: "Thank you- i will get this sorted! (sic)"
The fan also posted a picture of what appears to be the fake Facebook profile of Jane, which states she is an "actress in Coronation street (sic)", and "lives in Manchester".
What's more, another image showed a conversation between the fake profile and another person.
This comes just weeks after Jane's on-screen sister Georgia Taylor - who plays Toyah Battersby - blasted a fan after the supporter asked the actress for a selfie while she was sitting in a doctor's reception area.
She wrote: "Since when was it deemed acceptable to ask for selfies in the doctors reception? You have no idea what I'm here for and it's completely inappropriate, but apparently I'M the 'rude' one for saying no... (sic)"
Jane replied at the time: "You are quite possibly the kindest soul i know. Maybe some people should stop and think how 'rude' they are? I'll send Leanne round and that will show them rude (sic)"
Fellow 'Corrie' star Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor) also supported Georgia's refusal.
She tweeted: "Oh good god!! X (sic)"
