Jane Danson thinks that she's aged due to her time on 'Coronation Street'.
The 34-year-old actress is convinced that her character's recent storylines - including finding out her husband Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) had an affair - has caused her face to wrinkle.
She said: "The whole summer was endless crying - Leanne had a lot of that.
"And while your mind knows it's acting, your body doesn't. In all seriousness it can be quite ageing because you do physically go through it. I've spent the last 16 years looking terrible for that reason."
The blonde beauty - who has children Harry, eight, and five-year-old son Sam - believes the show's script writers are beginning to pick up on how tired she is looking in real life and have started penning it into her script.
She explained: "I now get them putting in my script, 'Leanne looks tired' and I think, 'Well, in real life I've got two young children and I've spent four years with no sleep and I am tired."
However, Jane would like to see her alter-go regain some of the attitude she had when she first started out in the show in 1997.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "Leanne is a colourful character and as time goes on I'd like to get a bit of that feistiness back."
