Jamie Oliver is set to host new cooking show ‘Jamie’s Air-Fryer Meals’.
The 48-year-old celebrity chef, who has fronted a string of cookery programmes, like ‘Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals’, is ready to take to the kitchen once more to teach viewers how to master their air-fryers for a new Channel 4 show.
In a statement, executive producer of the programme Katie Millard said: “Jamie’s air-fryer recipes are already a huge hit on our website, with over 500,000 views so far.
“Jamie was able to respond to the huge public demand for more air-fryer recipes and loved every second developing the new recipes.
“As this series will show, there is so much more to an air-fryer than nuggets and chips.”
The cook will also be joined by a different guest chef in each episode, including TikTok star and Michelin-trained cook Poppy O’Toole, and ‘Celebrity Masterchef’ star Sabrina Gidda.
Although Jamie has become one of nation’s favourite chefs, and is known for his happy-go-lucky approach to cooking, the TV star previously revealed that the hobby had saved his life, and that he would have been “utterly miserable without it”.
He told The Sun newspaper: “Cooking genuinely saved my life. I would have been utterly miserable without it.
“Although school work was really hard, I was good at other stuff and that meant my mental health didn’t suffer. I knew there would always be a chef’s job for me and I would always be all right.”
Jamie has also passed on his passion for cooking to his 13-year-old son Buddy, who has is reportedly due to receive his own BBC show following the success of his YouTube series ‘Cooking Buddies’.
A source told The Sun: “Buddy has taken all of his dad’s experience on board and is about to put it into play with his own cookery show.
“He’s already had great success with content on YouTube and Instagram. Jamie’s fans have long been asking for his son to have his own show for their kids to enjoy.”
