Channel 4 have confirmed the star-studded line-up for the five celebrity special episodes, which will air this spring, but Matt Lucas looks set to present the season solo, after Noel missed the Christmas and New Year's 'Bake Off' specials as he was on paternity leave following the birth of his second child with partner Liliana Bird in October.

Other stars who will swap the red carpet for the 'Bake Off' tent include Olympics legend Dame Kelly Holmes, comedian John Bishop, former 'Strictly Come Dancing' champ Stacey Dooley, and comedian Tom Allen, who will step behind the work top this time around after co-hosting alongside Matt on the two festive episodes, as he stood in for Noel.

Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will return to the tent to judge the celebrities, who include Radio DJ Nick Grimshaw, comedian Rob Beckett, rapper Dizzee Rascal, singer/songwriter Alexandra Burke, pop star Anne-Marie, and singer Nadine Coyle.

Sarah Lazenby, Head of Formats and Features at Channel 4, said: "What we all need right now is more joy.

"'Bake Off' is serving up yet another dollop of fun courtesy of some very willing celebrities.

"We can’t promise a huge helping of baking inspiration, but we can deliver some much-needed laughs."

Comedian David Baddiel, YouTuber KSI, TV presenter Ade Adepitan, author Philippa Perry, TV personality Anneka Rice, actor Reece Shearsmith, and actress Katherine Ryan complete the line-up.

Each episode will see four celebrities battle it out over three challenges - the Signature, the Technical and the Showstopper - in a bid to be awarded the Star Baker apron.

Kieran Smith, Executive Producer of Love Productions, added: "'Bake Off' is extremely proud to support Stand Up To Cancer.

"It has been a difficult year for charities and we sincerely hope that this series will offer a lot of fun but also some much-needed funds in the fight against cancer."
