The 'Saturday Kitchen' host is uniting his two main passions in life, cooking and cars, for a show he is taking across the UK and he has promised he has a few tricks up his sleeve to make it unforgettable, including a stunt he's been in serious training for.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I've never done it (food) as a gimmick, it's never been a p**s take. It's always been a serious thing ... Some of the things I'm doing will never be seen again. One of the things I'm doing for the tour I've literally been training seven days a week."

The 25-date tour - which kicks off in Glasgow, Scotland, and takes James to his most coveted venue, the Apollo in London - will see a string of celebrities join him on stage but the 43-year-old presenter won't invite along any "prima donnas".

James revealed: "I don't do all this prima donna bull. The big 'I am' ... I like good honest people and great friends. And that's always been my life. It's always been about the food. But you meet people along the way.

"I've watched other chefs do their (tour) thing and a lot of the ones I've seen is about themselves, like, 'Isn't life wonderful? Look at me.' And then the other ones that are about food predominantly can be quite boring because it's, 'Oh here's another scone recipe.' Not interested in that ... I enjoy car collecting and bike collecting. There'll be a few of those on stage. We'll be talking about that, but I don't want it to be a manly, blokey thing. So it's what I've done all my life. I think they'll be a lot of women there."
