James Holmes has reportedly been cast in 'Sherlock'.
The 'Miranda' star - who is known for portraying restaurant owner Clive Evans in the sitcom - is set to take a short break from the belly-laughing show in order to make a guest-appearance in the next installment of the detective series.
Bosses are remaining tight-lipped on the actor's forthcoming role but he seemingly gave a little hint as to what he'll play and how long he'll be around for on his online CV.
According to his curriculum vitae, the 45-year-old star is set to grace the British-American crime drama as a 'passenger.'
Meanwhile, James is no stranger to small TV gigs as he's also acted in 'The Catherine Tate Show', the midday medical drama 'Doctors', and briefly appeared in 'Coronation Street'.
The fourth installment of 'Sherlock' went into production earlier this week and will reportedly pick up where the New Year's Day (01.01.16) special 'The Abominable Bride' left off with the titular detective - portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch - back on home turf to investigate the mysterious resurrection of the Moriarty (Andrew Scott).
'Sherlock' is expected to hit screens early next year.
