James Buckley thinks it would be "irresponsible" to let his children watch 'The Inbetweeners'.
The 36-year-old actor - who has Harrison, 11, and nine-year-old Jude with wife Clair - shot to fame playing sex-mad sixth former Jay Cartwright in the E4 sitcom but does not plan on showing his kids his signature role any time soon because they are too young.
During an appearance on ITV's 'Lorraine', he was asked by stand-in host Christine Lamprard if they had ever seen the show and he replied: "I think it would be irresponsible, yeah, because they're young. They're young boys."
Meanwhile, the former 'White Gold' star now hosts the 'In Sickness and in Health' podcast with his wife and insisted that he has never been concerned about making a fool of himself as long it makes other people laugh.
He added: "That's always been my rule. If it's funny, it's funny. I wouldn't have been able to do Jay from 'The Inbetweeners' if I was worried about looking like an idiot. I don't mind being a fool as long as it makes people laugh."
James - who appeared alongside Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison on 'The Inbetweeners' - recently explained that the show could never make a comeback because the only reason they could "justify" the risque nature of the humour on the series was because the characters were so young at the time.
He told the MailOnline: "It was all justified because they were never the heroes. They were idiots and they got what they deserved.
"That's why it can't come back - you can't have men in their late thirties acting like they're in sixth form and getting away with that stuff."
