James 'Arg' Argent wants to "bulk up" and put some weight back on after shedding 13 stone following gastric sleeve surgery.
The 'TOWIE' star reached 27 stone at his heaviest, and he was hoping his weight would drop to around 15st 7lbs after going under the knife last year, but he is now at 14 stone and looking to possibly put some back on.
He said: "I’ve lost a little bit more than what I wanted to, so I want to get more toned, bulk up a little bit and maybe even put on half a stone."
Following the surgery, Arg can be sick if he eats too quickly, so he has to chow down on food the size of a 20p coin and chew it for 20 seconds before taking his next mouthful to avoid vomiting.
He said: "Sometimes I’d get as hungry as I did before. When that happens you eat too quickly. It makes you feel rough and be sick and it’s extremely uncomfortable.
"I’ve learned the hard way. There’s been moments where I’ve f***** up but now I’m used to it.
"I can digest most things but I have to eat food the size of a 20p, chew it for 20 seconds, wait for 20 seconds and do that again so I don’t get sick."
The 34-year-old star joked his main concern now is turning into a "shopaholic" because he's had to fork out for a new wardrobe after slimming down.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he added: "The only thing I’ve really got to watch is that I don’t turn into a shopaholic, because I’ve had to clear out my whole wardrobe.
"I never imagined my life would be like this. I feel confident, much more energetic, happier and healthier. I’m buzzing off life."
Arg recently admitted gastric sleeve surgery was the "best decision" he's ever made.
He wrote in an Instagram post: "9 months ago I dreamed of having THAT @adele moment & here it is
After being 27 stone, depressed and having doctors telling me I was on “death row” I made the decision to have gastric sleeve surgery with @wearetransform which reduced the size of my stomach and limited how much I could eat. I’ve since lost a total of 13 stone and now weigh 14 stone which surpassed all expectations. I’ve never felt happier or healthier.
I can honestly say that it was the best decision I've ever made. It spurred me on to be serious about my eating habits and exercise.
Since my surgery, I’ve followed the advice from the team at Transform Hospital Group and stuck to a healthy diet with smaller portion sizes. I’ve also been training in the gym to make my body stronger. That swim across the English Channel is still on the cards. I’d like to thank everyone who has helped me on my weight loss journey. When I look in the mirror, I’m finally happy with the man looking back at me.
I’m delighted to be starting 2022 as the best version of me. The future is looking bright, and I can’t wait to live it
