James 'Arg' Argent isn't convinced that Rami Hawash will end up exchanging vows with his former flame Gemma Collins.
'The Only Way Is Essex' star claims he is happy for his curvaceous co-star - with whom he enjoyed a short fling last year - but has doubts as to whether she will actually tie the knot with her fiancé following his proposal on Christmas Day (25.12.13).
Speaking at a speed dating event hosted by Foxy Bingo, Arg exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Of course I am [happy for her]. I want Gemma to be happy, but I don't know ... I'm not too sure [if they will marry]. I don't know whether that's her true love or not. I'm not too sure. If he is, then great, but Gemma is up and down. I love her to bits and I do care about her."
Arg, 26, claims his on/off romance with Gemma, 32, was merely a rebound following his split with ex-girlfriend and former co-star Lydia Bright in 2012, and while he admits there is chemistry between them he insists they are better off as pals.
He explained: "We are very close friends and we're on the same wavelength, but we're better off suited as friends.
"I think I was with Lydia for four years, maybe longer, and I think when I broke up with her neither of us dated anyone else for a little while, and then she started seeing Tom [Kilby] and it hurt me, so I think I was looking for someone to give me some comfort."
