James 'Arg' Argent wants to be Master of Ceremonies at Mark Wright's wedding.

The 'Only Way is Essex' star is hoping to play a big part in his good friend and former co-star's nuptials to 'Coronation Street' beauty Michelle Keegan - who plays Tina McIntyre in the soap - after the couple got engaged in Dubai over the weekend, and he would love to take on a hosting role on the pair's big day.

Speaking at the TV Choice Awards at the Dorchester Hotel in central London last night (09.09.13), he told BANG Showbiz: "Mark is very close with his brother Josh so he's probably number one candidate but I'll have a big part of the day I'm sure.

"I'd love to sing a song at the wedding.

"But I want to be one of those people who wear the red outfits, Master of Ceremonies isn't it? I reckon I'd be good at that."

Mark's sister Jess Wright admitted she wasn't shocked to hear Mark was planning to get down on one knee even though the couple have only been dating since the start of the year, and she isn't expecting them to have a long engagement.

She said: "They're so in love. It's really sweet, it was a really lovely proposal. He called me last week from Dubai.

"I wasn't that surprised he proposed. He hinted a couple of times in the past he was going to do it this year because he said, 'I think in life if you know, you know.' That's nice.

"We didn't need to do any checks, we're not that sort of family. Michelle's an angel anyway.

"They probably won't have a long engagement if I'm honest. They'll probably get married within the next year or so."

Several of Michelle's 'Corrie' co-stars also wished the couple well, including Catherine Tyldesley, who plays blonde stunner Eva Price.

She said: "I text her earlier, I'm absolutely thrilled to bits for her. They're such a gorgeous a couple, I'm thrilled to bits for them."

Paula Lane - who portrays Kylie Platt - added: "She's a really good friend of mine, Michelle, so it's great. I'm seeing her tomorrow so I'll be getting all the gossip."
