Jake Quickenden has splashed out £5,000 on a hair transplant because he was "terrified" he'd look like Phil Mitchell.
The former 'X Factor' wannabe has taken drastic action to ensure she doesn't resemble the follically-challenged 'EastEnders' character - who is played by Steve McFadden - after feeling "paranoid" about his tresses every time he left the house.
He said: "I was terrified that I'd look like Phil Mitchell.
"I've got a hairline like Dracula with two triangles at the front. It has been in my mind for five years.
"Even when I was on 'X Factor' it used to take me so long to get ready because I'd think it was showing.
"I was so paranoid about it, I started buying sprays for my scalp to make it dark so you couldn't tell."
Jake spent hours on the treatment table in Glasgow having hair follicles from the back of his head moved to the front to improve his mop because he wants to look good on his wedding day in a few years - even though he's not officially engaged to girlfriend Danielle Fogarty.
He added to The Sun newspaper: "Even now, getting ready can take me an hour trying to make sure it's covered up.
"If I was going out and I didn't have my spray on me I'd get really paranoid that someone was going to say, 'God, you're going bald'. This had to be done -- I want to get married with hair."
Jake admitted Danielle - who he met after appearing on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' with her former superbike champion father Carl Fogarty - thinks her boyfriend is "mad" to undergo the treatment when his hair looks "absolutely fine".
