The former 'X Factor' star popped the question during the couple's romantic getaway to Rhodes, Greece.

Alongside a snap of the pair sharing a smooch by the water on Saturday (07.08.21), he announced on Instagram: "She said yes!

"The love of my life the mother to my beautiful Leo and Freddie, I love you so much… this isn't a drill it's actually happening."

Sophie - who has son Leo, five months, with the reality TV star, who is also a stepfather to her seven-year-old son Freddie from a previous relationship - shared the same photo to her own page on the social media site and wrote: "I said YES to the love of my life & my future husband.

"I couldn't have asked for a better step dad for Freddie & father for baby Leo. Thank you for making this holiday so special! I love you forever. (sic)"

The 32-year-old hunk teased earlier this year that he was planning to get down on one knee "very soon".

He said in May: "We're not engaged yet. I'll just leave it at that. Very soon. Very soon. I'll get down on one knee very soon. Obviously, it's on the cards."

Meanwhile, Jake recently revealed the couple wish to expand their brood.

He said in March: "Being a dad is the best feeling in the whole world. Leo is the most beautiful, loved, a special boy in the world. I can't explain how much I love him.

"I imagine we will try for a little girl after a year or so because I don't want to leave too much of an age gap. I know Soph would love a little girl and so would I. It would just complete our family."

The 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' star is determined to have a big family after he lost his own father in 2008 and his brother, Oliver, in 2012 both to cancer.

He explained: "We've had a lot of years of having people and things taken away from us. This baby is instead of adding to the family and making it bigger again. It's exciting to be adding another Quickenden to the family rather than losing one.

"Losing my dad and my brother will shape the kind of dad I am. My dad was a strict guy but he was always my best mate and that's the relationship I want with my kids.

"I could have a laugh and take the piss out of him like mates but he would never let me cross a line and taught me how to behave. He was lots of fun, but also firm and fair. I just want to be a fun stupid dad who makes my kids feel like they can come to me with any problems."
