Jake Dennis was pleased with the authentic nature of 'Formula E: Unplugged'.
The 26-year-old racing driver's efforts for BMW iAndretti Motorsport across the 2020-21 season of the electric motor racing series will be shown in the documentary and Jake believes that the material captured was "pretty real" – in contrast the Formula 1 Netflix series 'Drive to Survive'.
Asked if wished any moment could be left out, Jake told BANG Showbiz: "Not in my series, no. I think everything that they produced, and everything that they showed, was pretty real and it’s not like anything was forced. This was nice because one thing I don’t like on the Drive to Survive series is I feel like it’s more of a drama series now – whereas I felt that Formula E: Unplugged was pretty raw and how it should be."
Jake made his debut in Formula E in the recent campaign – where he won races in Valencia and on home soil in London – and is aiming to win the championship in the series with new regulations set to be introduced.
Dennis, who finished third in the standings last season, said of his career ambitions: "To become Formula E world champion – I think that’s my next goal for sure. If I then do that then I’m not too sure what I’d want to progress to from there. Right now, my main focus is to try and win Formula E next season.
"If not, then I’m excited to see what the Gen 3 car has to offer; it’s meant to have an extra 100 kW of power and 80-90 kilos lighter, so the cars will really take a step in performance and I think that’s needed and also exciting for the championship."
