Jack P. Shepherd has found himself become a dad for the second time.
The 'Coronation Street' actor - who plays evil David Platt in the ITV soap - took to Twitter today (18.12.13) to announce his fiancee Lauren Shippey has finally given birth to their child, a boy who they have named Reuben, 15 days after her due date.
He wrote: "Baby's here! Thank The Lord, a boy Reuben. 8 pound 12 Masssssive! Was born yesterday night at 22:40 Lauren and Reuben are doing fine. X (sic)"
Last week, Jack tweeted he hadn't been able to enjoy the 'Coronation Street' Christmas party as much as usual because he couldn't drink in case Lauren went into labour.
He tweeted: "Just been to works Christmas doo, sober waiting on baby Sheps, 10 days over due! :-/ (sic)"
In September, the couple - who also have four-year-old daughter Nyla - explained they were shelving their wedding plans until after their second child was born.
When asked if he and high school sweetheart Lauren were going to tie the knot, he said at the time: "No, because the baby's coming and we have a drama school, 13 Performing Arts School - I teach drama, believe it or not, to kids every Saturday.
"We're so busy, which is why the wedding's been shelved. We probably won't get married until we've had all of our children now."
