Jack Maynard was "panicking" when he was taken out of the 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' camp without any warning following a series of accusations last year.
The 23-year-old vlogger was booted out of the competition just a few days into the series after a number of offensive tweets he had written as a teenager resurfaced.
And, although it soon became apparent the reason why he had been whisked out of the jungle, he has admitted he was very confused when he was taken to the medical hut.
Speaking on 'Good Morning Britain' this morning (01.03.18), he explained: "It was pretty horrible, it was quite scary to be honest as I got taken out first thing in the morning, I didn't know what was going on.
"I went to the medical hut to be greeted by the producers who didn't really tell me much at the time and said there had been some accusations and they had to take me out of the show. I was panicking; I didn't know what was going on.
"I got back to the hotel, I spoke to my manager and my brother, that's when I really found out what had happened, as I didn't look online as I didn't want to see any of it.
"It was completely blown out of my control that's why I thought it was best to come straight back to London to address the whole thing and apologise."
And, despite being axed from the show, Jack - who is the younger brother of pop star Conor Maynard - would love to return this year to redeem himself.
He said: "I think I would go back in to prove myself as I didn't get the worst of it when I was in there, maybe I deserve it who knows."
