ITV's coverage of Queen Elizabeth's state funeral will be the network's largest outside broadcast in its history.
The company has confirmed plans to broadcast the late monarch's funeral, which will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday (19.09.22), live and uninterrupted on ITV's main channel and simultaneously on all of its digital channels following the royal's death aged 96 last Thursday (08.09.22).
Beforehand, 'Good Morning Britain' will air and preview the funeral.
Later on Monday evening, ITV will broadcast a documentary film chronicling the events of the past 10 days from Her Majesty's death to the state funeral, and there will be a special programme focusing on the day's events at 9pm, followed by an extended 'News at Ten'.
All of the day's programming from 6am to midnight will be simulcast on all of ITV's main channel and five digital channels and Hub, which will mark the first time in its history that the network has done so.
What's more, there will be no advertising on any ITV channel on Monday.
Earlier this week, 'This Morning' presenter Holly Willoughby revealed she had visited Buckingham Palace to "pay her respects" to the queen.
The 41-year-old TV presenter - who has children Harry, 13, Belle, 11, and seven-year-old Chester with husband Dan Baldwin - took her family to lay flowers at the late monarch's home.
Alongside a picture of her children looking at the floral display, Holly wrote on Instagram: "Time to reflect and pay our respects… the children wrote the most beautiful words…[black heart emoji]" (sic)
'This Morning' was cancelled last Friday (09.09.22), the day after the queen's death, but returned on Monday (12.09.22).
