Filmmaker Bryan Fogel leads Icarus, hoping to uncover the truth about doping in sports through extensive research. In a chance meeting with a Russian scientist however, he falls deeper into the pit than he had ever imagined, turning his story into a geopolitical thriller that involves dirty urine, unexplained death and Olympic Gold, before the exposé of the biggest scandal in sports history.
Launching on the same day that the World Athletics Championships start in London, Icarus could change the way viewers look at competitive sport in the modern world forever.
Icarus officially hits Netflix on August 4.
