Hugo Hammond, Sam Jackson, Clarisse Juliette, and Amy Day have been dumped from the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The four islanders found themselves packing their bags during Thursday’s (05.08.21) episode of the ITV2 reality show, after they were revealed to be at risk of being dumped earlier this week following a public vote on the favourite couples.
Hugo and Amy, Sam and Mary Bedford, and Tyler Cruickshank and Clarisse were the three couples who received the fewest votes, and it was then up to their fellow islanders to save one girl and one boy.
The remaining boys chose to save Mary, while the girls picked Tyler, meaning the other four were sent home.
Speaking about being dumped, Clarisse said: “My only regret is believing the way Tyler was with me. I wish I slept in a bed on my own in Casa Amor! But it’s not like I’m going to be single forever.”
And Sam – who coupled up with Mary after his former partner Faye Winter reunited with Teddy Soares – added: “It’s a difficult one to say, but at the same time I’m happy to be going home. My journey has been what it is, and I’ve made some memories that are going to last a lifetime. I literally would not change a thing.”
Hugo and Amy coupled up after Casa Amor but had been on the rocks for the past few days, with the PE teacher calling his search for love “tragic” on his way out of the villa.
He said: “My search for love in there … tragic, is probably the word for it. But I walk away with my head held high. I stayed true to myself, and I look forward to the next chapter and what life has in store for Mr. Hammond.”
While Amy explained: “I’m a bit sad that my journey has been cut short, but short and sweet – that’s how I like it.”
‘Love Island’ continues at 9pm on Friday (06.08.21) on ITV2 and the ITV Hub.
