'Hollyoaks' was forced to reschedule some scenes on Tuesday (04.01.22) due to "sickness" on the set.
Haiesha Mistry, who plays Yasmine Maalik in the Channel 4 soap, took to her Instagram Stories this week to reveal she had been sent home "because of sickness", but she wasn't unwell herself.
She wrote: "First day back filming this morning with a 7:25am make up call.
"Hair and make up done only to be sent home cos of sickness. I'm not ill but stay safe people (sic)"
It was later revealed 'Hollyoaks' had to change some scenes around, but didn't need to send any crews home.
A spokesperson for the soap told The Sun Online: "'Hollyoaks' rescheduled a small number of scenes on Tuesday morning.
"No crews were sent home and we continue to film under COVID protocols."
In November, 'Hollyoaks' actress Denise Welch - who portrays Trish Minniver - tested positive for coronavirus after being removed from the show's set and tested.
She tweeted: "Just had covid. Nothing like the bronchitis I had recently which was most ill I’ve ever been. Lost taste & smell with both. At work 10 days ago. Was removed from set & they had me tested. LF & PCR taken at same time. LF was negative, PCR came back positive. Go figure. (sic)"
After her negative lateral flow and positive PCR, the 'Hollyoaks' star slammed COVID testing as "ridiculous".
She wrote: "By the way I’m not negating the danger of Covid in some people. I just lost my dad to pneumonia. All horrible virus’. But the testing is ridiculous. And to me all proves how pointless covid passports are. (sic)"
