Billy Price has insisted his 'Hollyoaks' character "isn't going anywhere".
Sid Sumner appeared to have met his maker earlier this week when he was stabbed and left for dead by drug lord Victor Brothers (Benjamin O’Mahony), but the 20-year-old star has insisted he is "staying put", and assured fans that is "not the last" they will see of his character.
Interrupting a video on the 'Hollyoaks' Twitter page of Sid's "best bits", he said: "Sid ain't going nowhere. So pause the best bits, because I'm staying put.
"I'm not going anywhere, what gave you that impression? Ahh, see, you can't get rid of me that easily! And I'll tell you this, but you've got to keep it between us.
"It's not over. Right, that feels good to get off my chest. From the source, that's not the last you'll see of Sidney Sumner."
Billy thanked fans for their support and admitted he will "see [them] soon".
He added: "I can't really say anything else, so you're just going to have to watch and find out what happens.
"But thank you for all your support. And I'll be seeing you soon, right? Maybe? I guess?"
Earlier this week, several 'Oaks' super-fans were left outraged at Sid's apparent death, with some even vowing to boycott if the teen dies.
A viewer wrote on Instagram: "If he died I'm never watching it again"
Another posted: "He can’t be dead. Sid is one of the best characters! HES BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH. Let him come out of this!!! Please hollyoaks. (sic)"
