'Hollyoaks' are to air a special mental health episode next week as part of their Don't Filter Feelings campaign.

The Channel 4 soap's ep will see several characters forced to confront their pasts, including Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) as she comes face-to-face with her abuser Pete Buchanan - who is played by Kai Owen - following his release from prison.
Cleo's boyfriend Toby Faroe (Bobby Gordon) will attempt to protect her, and in doing so he will also confront his own childhood demons.
Elsewhere in the episode, Luke Morgan (Gary Lucy) will re-live his rape as a teenager as he tries to persuade his son Ollie Morgan (Gabriel Clark) - who was the victim of abuse himself at the hands of his football coach, Buster Smith (Nathan Sussex) - to go to rehab.
What's more, Mandy Osborne (Sarah Jayne Dunn) will open up about her past traumas, and Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) will discuss her bipolar disorder.
Hollyoaks' Don't Filter Feelings campaign focuses on issue-led storylines.
The soap launched a 'Don't Filter Feelings' podcast in 2019 which covered a range of topics.
In October, 'Hollyoaks' released a special podcast episode to mark Black History Month, which featured Bobby and his on-screen sister Andrea Ali (Celeste Faroe).
In the ep, Bobby admitted his dream when he was younger was to be the "English Will Smith", and another of his icons was Richard Blackwood, who he now stars alongside on 'Hollyoaks'.
He said: "I’ve always wanted to be the English Will Smith, that was me in a nutshell, and then I really had two icons, and it’s crazy that I’m even saying this because it’s Will Smith and Richard Blackwood."
Hollyoaks' special mental health episode will air on Wednesday April 7th at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
