Holly Willoughby will be absent from 'This Morning' for a while as she has shingles.
The co-host won't be on the ITV show's sofa with Phillip Schofield as she is suffering from the nasty viral infection - caused by the varicella-zoster virus, the same virus that causes chickenpox - that causes a painful rash anywhere on the body.
She announced on her Instagram Story: “Hi, just to let you know, I may be away for the rest of the week as I have shingles.
“I’ll be back as soon as I’m better. Huge love.”
The 42-year-old presenter hosts the show from Monday to Thursday with 61-year-old Phillip.
Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary take over on Fridays.
However, Holly's replacement is not known at this time.
Phillip is said to be returning to the show today (17.04.23), after taking time off for his brother Timothy's trial.
The TV star has disowned his sibling after he admitted to sexually abusing a teenage boy.
Timothy, 54, appeared in the dock at Exeter Crown Court on Monday (27.03.23) and was convicted of 11 counts of sexual offences.
In a statement released by his lawyer, Phillip said: “My overwhelming concern is and has always been for the wellbeing of the victim and his family.
“I hope that their privacy will now be respected. If any crime had ever been confessed to me by my brother, I would have acted immediately to protect the victim and their family.
“These are despicable crimes, and I welcome the guilty verdicts. As far as I am concerned, I no longer have a brother.”
