The 42-year-old presenter took a break from her TV career after she was the victim of an alleged kidnapping plot in October, but reappeared on screens last night (14.01.24) with co-host Stephen Mulhern, who has replaced Philip Schofield.
In a post to Instagram, Holly wrote: “Dancing on Ice series 16! . . . Let’s do this one sequin at a time.”
During the show last night, the presenter also introduced her new co-host and the “amazing cast of 2024”.
She said: “To the greatest show on ice, and let's hear it for the amazing cast of 2024. Let me just say a huge welcome to Stephen Mulhern."
The TV star had hosted the ITV show with Philip Schofield, but the 61-year-old presenter - who also fronted magazine show 'This Morning' with Holly for a number of years - quit the broadcaster altogether in May last year after he admitted that he had had an affair with a younger male colleague.
A few months later, Holly confirmed she would be also stepping down from her TV duties, and emphasised it was “such a difficult goodbye”.
In a statement online, she said: "I've let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning. To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much.
"This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we've done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.”
"Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You've been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day. Richard and Judy said 'we only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers'. It's been an honour to just be part of it's story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family."
