Holly Samos is the new favourite to join Chris Evans on 'Top Gear'.
The ex-Radio 5 Live reporter, who briefly dated the flame-haired presenter in the '90s, is hotly tipped to become the female addition to the motoring show's new line up.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "Chris and Holly have brilliant chemistry and would be great together on Top Gear. Holly is a motoring nut."
Holly, 40, is currently working at BBC Radio Oxford presenting her own show but Chris has his eye on the pretty brunette for his new look 'Top Gear' that is due to return to BBC Two next year.
Chris, 49, replaced Jeremy Clarkson on the long running series after he was sacked earlier this year for having punched a producer over a steak, whilst Richard Hammond and James May exited the show after the incident.
Jodie Kidd and Suzi Perry were previous favourites to take a top spot on the new line-up but have since been ruled out and Zoe Ball's name has recently been thrown into the hat.
Meanwhile, the Radio Two breakfast host said they are almost "ready to roll" and begin filming.
He wrote in Top Gear magazine: "We are ready to roll. We are now champing at the bit and getting far too hysterical for our own good."
