'Heroes' will return to television screens in 2015.
The popular science fiction show - which followed ordinary people who developed super powers - will be back with 13 episodes and hints are being made that original cast members will join in the fun once more.
The new programme will be called 'Heroes Reborn', and TV bosses at US network NBC are "thrilled" to be bringing the franchise back to the small screen.
Jennifer Salke, president of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement: "We're thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept.
"Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won't rule out the possibility of some of the show's original cast members popping back in."
While it's not clear which of the earlier stars will return, Masi Oka has hinted he could reprise his role as Hiro Nakamura.
He wrote on Twitter: "Was watching the Olympics and saw the #HeroesReborn trailer. Time to dust off the sword?"
