Helena Bonham Carter and David Mitchell are to join the cast of 'The Cleaner'.
The Hollywood actress and the 46-year-old comedian are just some of the names signed up for the new BBC One show, which will air later this year, written by and starring comedian Greg Davies.
Greg said: "I’m thrilled that this remarkable collection of actors has agreed to appear next to me on screen. Scrubbing up blood in a hazmat suit in front of them will be a pleasure."
Other stars signed up for the show include Stephanie Cole, Donald Sumpter, Shobu Kapoor, Ruth Madeley, Layton Williams, Zita Sattar, Georgie Glen, Bill Skinner and Esmonde Cole.
Shane Allen, Commissioning Controller for BBC Comedy, added of the new show, which will have six 30 minute episodes: "Pinched myself when I saw all this comedy and acting royalty in one show. It’s all down to Greg’s well hewn scripts which take us in to different character worlds in surprising and funny ways each week as Wicky has a transformative effect on those he comes across. The Cleaner delivers on BBC One’s unique commitment to make UK comedy for a mainstream audience."
Vivien Muller-Rommel of Studio Hamburg UK, who are producing, said: "It is a great honour for us at Studio Hamburg UK to produce a show that brings together some true British icons. We couldn’t have wished for a better Clean-up Crew to bring Greg’s brilliant scripts to life."

'The Cleaner' will be based on German comedy series titled 'Der Tatortreiniger', which translates as Crime Scene Cleaner and was originally created by Ingrid Lausund.
