Helen Skelton is "in talks" to replace Rylan Clark on 'Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two.'
The 39-year-old presenter reached the final of the BBC Latin and ballroom competition last year and is now reportedly negotiating a deal that would see her replace former 'X Factor star Rylan, 34, as the host of its spin-off show just days after he announced he was quitting.
A source told The Daily Mirror newspaper: "Not only is Helen a very experienced and popular presenter, she captured Strictly fans last year with her warmth and charisma. She was also a hit with the team, from the top bosses to the make-up teams, production and the crew. The pro dancers all know her and as a former contestant, she knows what the celebrities are going through. It seems like she could be a perfect fit for us."
Earlier this week, Rylan - who has co-hosted the show alongside Zoe Ball and Janette Manrara - explained that the "time had come" for him to pass his hosting duties onto someone else but thanked his "family" at the BBC for welcoming him onto the series.
He wrote on Instagram: "After four fantastic years it's time for me to hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two. I've had the best time hosting the show alongside Janette and Zoe and I can't thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show. "I've been welcomed into the Strictly family and will firmly hold that
title dear to me. "The time has come for me to pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for me. "Thank you Strictly, you will have my heart and dancing feet. (sic)"
Rylan split from his husband Dan Neal last year, and he previously admitted that his life was "s***" in the aftermath of their break-up.
