Helen Skelton is set to land a massive contract at the BBC following her success on 'Strictly Come Dancing.'
The 39-year-old presenter has reached the final of the Latin and ballroom competition and - along with her professional partner Gorka Marquez - is set to go head-to-head with CBeebies star Hamza Yassin for the Glitterball trophy on Sunday's (18.12.22) final but both contestants are reportedly set to be offered huge deals at the broadcaster following their time on the show.
A source said: "Helen are Hamza are well thought of at the BBC and the executives are delighted at how the show has boosted their profiles. They’ve wanted some sensational stars to emerge in' Strictly' this year which is a ‘full’ show for the first time since it was scaled back by Covid two years ago."
Former 'Blue Peter' presenter Helen is the favourite to win, with odds of 7/4, while Hamza and his professional partner Jowita Pryzstal are at odds of 4/9, with the source going on to add that the pair - who will also face competition from 'Nova Jones' actress Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu and pop singer Fleur East and Vito Coppola in the final - have received more support from viewers than most.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "Viewers seem to have thrown their support behind Helen and Hamza in a way few other finalists have enjoyed. The Beeb are keen to build on that and make sure they stay with the BBC, which is where they’ve both developed their careers so far. They are both highly valued, even though their careers are at very different stages. She’s a well-known face on our screens while he is a little-known presenter at this stage."
