The 'Coronation Street' actress - who plays Rosie Webster in the long-running soap - is expecting her second child with her partner Scott Sinclair and the pair can't wait for their two-year-old daughter Matilda to meet her new little brother or sister.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Scott said: "It was a little bit of a surprise.

"I was away in Dubai with my family. Helen couldn't come as she was filming. She found out on a Thursday but had to wait until I got home five days later to tell me."

Helen added: "I did three more tests just to make sure it was correct! I had a very strong feeling I was pregnant, so I wasn't surprised."

And, now that they have another little one on the way, the couple - who have been together since 2009 - are determined to get married so they all have the same name.

Helen said: "We both would love to get married and for us all to have same name."

The 27-year-old star was initially waiting until Matilda was at least four until they'd start trying for another baby but they're over the moon that their family is extending.

She explained: "I was very happy, but I was a bit taken aback as this baby wasn't in the plan. I knew I would feel a lot better once I'd told Scott."

It's not known whether the couple are living together as Helen was staying in Manchester with her parents while filming the ITV soap and Scott is in Scotland playing football but the brunette beauty recently admitted that separation is "healthy".

She said earlier this year: "I'm commuting between Glasgow and Bolton. But I try to get back to Scotland as often as I can because I want to see Scott and Scott wants to see Matilda...

"We've been together over seven years. We love spending time together but it's nice for us to do our own things as well. I think it's healthy to do that in a relationship."
