Helen Flanagan cleans her teeth 10 times a day.
The former 'Coronation Street' star carries a toothbrush and toothpaste in her handbag as she fears her addiction to cigarettes will leave her with bad breath and nasty gnashers, but her dentist has warned that her obsessive brushing could cause her pearly whites to fall out.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Helen is paranoid. She is always scrubbing away - sometimes up to 10 times a day. She was stunned to be told she's causing more harm than good."
Despite her brushing addiction, the blonde beauty - who is currently filming for Channel 5's 'Celebrity Spa' - often puts off going to the dentist because she is frightened of having any work done on her teeth.
She wrote on Twitter: "Just been to the dentist I dragged myself there been avoiding it for ages as I get too scared can't bear it.
"And because im obsessed with brushing my teeth its made them too sensitive as I've attacked my enamel and I've still got two baby teeth (sic)."
The 22-year-old actress recently split from her soccer star boyfriend Scott Sinclair after he was accused of exchanging saucy text messages with TV presenter Donatella Panayiotou.
She said previously: "My feelings for him have not changed. It's been the worst time of my life."
